Barb Goode

Barb Goode works as a pollution prevention specialist with the Kansas State University Pollution Prevention Institute. In her 16 year career with K-State, Barb has worked with numerous programs assisting industry, institutions, and communities with environmental compliance and identifying source reduction opportunities. In 2015, Goode led a community through a local food system assessment project, which resulted in increased avenues for the community to obtain locally grown products. She is an active volunteer in her local wellness coalition, which is partnering with 11 other county members of the North Central Regional Planning Commission to form a regional food policy council. Barb is passionate about preventing food waste and diverting usable excess food to populations in need.
