Tom Nowakowski

Tom studied meteorology at the U.W.-Madison. While most of his colleagues were dreaming about becoming the next “Live at 5” meteorologist providing optimistic forecasts for picnics, Tom was more interested in solving regional air quality issues. That interest grew into a career computer modeling and protecting the environment, and eventually working with a wide spectrum of businesses to help them develop a “business case” to embrace energy efficiency, energy production, and environmental performance. A number of those facilities represent the agriculture and food processing industries. With his position at the Office of Energy Innovation, Tom works to establish and promote relationships with Wisconsin’s energy stakeholders.
