Chris Lampe
Senior Program Manager, STAR4Defense
In my 25 years of experience at the IWRC, I helped in the creation of the STAR4D certification curriculum, which includes Aerospace, CARC, and Abrasive Blast training. I now serve as the Senior Program Manager for STAR4D, where I manage, coordinate, and deliver military painter training throughout the United States.
By providing hands-on training in painting techniques and equipment upgrades, we improve efficiency by more than 20 percent, enhance cost savings, and significantly reduce waste. This training also incorporates our virtual reality spray painting technology, for which I lead research, development, and instruction to maximize effectiveness.
Having the opportunity to travel to new locations across the country, collaborate with organizations, and manage nationally recognized painter training programs is both exciting and rewarding. I take pride in passing along knowledge while contributing to the IWRC’s mission to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
At home, I find creative ways to reduce waste as well, such as using energy efficient lighting that changes colors with the holidays. Outside of work, I make it a priority to spend time with family and friends and enjoy being outdoors.
