Molly Wells
Communications and Public Relations Management
As the Communications and Public Relations Manager at the IWRC, I lead marketing, strategic outreach, and branding efforts to ensure our mission reaches the right audiences. Whether it’s executing events like an EPA Ceremonial Check Presentation, driving growth across all social media and email platforms, or securing press coverage for our Iowa Green Brewery Certification (IGBC) program, I shape how IWRC connects with businesses, organizations, and communities nationwide.
My role focuses on storytelling and strategy to help our experts amplify their impact, share successes, and position IWRC as the go-to resource for waste reduction assistance. Whether I’m crafting compelling narratives, researching emerging trends, or developing outreach initiatives, I work behind the scenes to ensure our services are seen, understood, and utilized. I love collaborating across the IWRC’s pillar programs, finding creative and innovative ways to showcase the work and expand our reach.
Doing my part to take care of the environment has always been a high priority for me and one small step I take toward reducing waste and protecting resources is using rain barrels to collect water to use on my flowers and trees. When I’m not working, you can probably find me enjoying my outdoor oasis, attending my kids’ activities, traveling, or getting lost in a good book.
