Jennifer Wittenburg

For over 18 years, I’ve helped small businesses navigate the complex world of environmental regulations at the IWRC. As the Iowa Air Emission Assistance Program (IAEAP) and Environmental Assistance Program Manager, my goal is to alleviate the burdens faced by companies and individuals who may otherwise struggle with the often complicated landscape of environmental regulations. I do this by developing tools and resources and providing direct support to help companies understand regulatory requirements and streamline their compliance efforts.

Working one-on-one with businesses, I focus on learning their unique needs so that I can tailor my assistance and training to best fit their needs. Behind the scenes, I have created a variety of resources, including the Paint Tracker and GrainPTE programs, as well as various emissions calculators and tutorials, all designed to simplify compliance and help businesses stay on track.

I actively contribute to several committees within the National Small Business Environmental Assistance Program, which not only expands my professional network, but also enhances my knowledge base. Additionally, I enjoy educating future leaders on the importance of air quality and emissions by speaking to university classes.

It’s incredibly rewarding to help companies understand and comply with regulations, simplifying the process and ultimately making people’s lives a little easier!
