Carl Fedders

Carl Fedders is the City Engineer/Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Battle Creek, Michigan. In his role he oversees a wide range of activities that include engineering, water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, field services, fleet, and solid waste. Many of these activities overlap into the five surrounding municipalities through intergovernmental service contracts. Most recently, Carl has been tasked with developing a sustainable long term solution to the disposal of the bio-solids generated at the waste water treatment plant that is consistent with the social, environmental and financial goals of the City. Carl has a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan with 12 year of local government experience.
