April 23, 2024, Des Moines, Iowa

In partnership with the Iowa Waste Reduction Center at the University of Northern Iowa, the Midwest Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Collaborative will be hosting a free training summit on the morning of April 23rd in Des Moines, Iowa.

The training summit will be held at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Urban Campus and is offered free of charge to HVAC contractors. The summit represents an opportunity for local contractors in the state to learn about ASHPs from technical experts, equipment manufacturers, local distributors, and other industry professionals.

In addition to an adjoining exhibit hall for manufacturers and local distributors, the summit will include market activity changes and their impact on the local value proposition for ASHPs and will highlight existing policies and programs aimed at promoting ASHP adoption alongside upcoming incentive program updates.

Breakfast and a takeaway lunch will be provided to attendees, and opportunities to speak directly with technical training staff will be available when the event concludes in the early afternoon.

Registration is required to attend and can be done by visiting: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/heat-pump-contractor-training-summit-tickets-836406302767?aff=oddtdtcreator. The DMACC Urban Campus is located at 1144 7th Street, Des Moines, IA 50314.

The Midwest ASHP Collaborative was formed in 2022 to accelerate ASHP adoption across 13 states in the region. The Collaborative focuses on providing industry resources through engagement with local market partners to address needs and overcome barriers to adoption. The Collaborative is delivered by four Midwestern non-profits and is proud to partner with the Iowa Waste Reduction Center to deliver this event in Des Moines.
